Top nft Marketplace x.com/opensea” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Open sea launches “Get Based,” a series of digital art nfts on the ethereum Layer-2 scaling network, Base. This initiative will feature weekly artwork priced at $5 or less, with some available for free.
Starting today at 12:00 pm EST, “Get Based” will debut a reimagined version of the cinematic artwork “Endless Summer” by Carty Sewill, artist and OpenSea employee.
The series will feature works by up to 15 artists throughout the summer and aligns with Base’s “On-Chain Summer II” promotion beginning June 3, an event featuring over $600 $eth or nearly $2.3 million in prizes , incentives and gasoline credits in all various projects and protocols.

New digital artworks will be published weekly on both the OpenSea platform and the Farcaster social media protocol.
Open edition releases will be priced at $5 or less and artists involved include Jhekub, creator of RGB Punks; Hun, creator of “Primitives”; meme artist Cryptic Poet; Yiying Lu, known as twitter’s “Failed Whale”; Metro illustrator; and Thank you Base God.
OpenSea will also offer native asset bridges to Base and the option to purchase using fiat currency and credit cards through the MoonPay integration to introduce Base collectors and their capabilities.
Devin Finzer, co-founder and CEO of OpenSea, shared that Base has proven to be a “catalyst for new utility and creativity,” adding: “We have supported Base since its inception and are excited to highlight promising artists with unique artistic styles and grow their presence within the broader nft community.”
OpenSea, a partner in last year's promotion and launch partner of Base, aims to further integrate and promote Base within the nft ecosystem.
