The NFT NounsDAO community announces their next project: an NFT comic series! The new project titled “Nouns: Nountown” is open to cryptocurrency enthusiasts, comic book fans, and people new to NFTs. NounsDAO has partnered with Titan Comics and the ComicsDAO community for the project.
What is Nountown by NounsDAO?
The Nountown comic is an ode to NFTs and the broader NFT ecosystem. Released on April 26, each page of the comic is also an NFT. The pages, being integrated into the chain of blocks, will provide new experiences through web3 to their owners. These include one-of-a-kind collectibles and unique perspectives and stories, all central to the megastructure that is web3. This is a collectible for the ages, with incredible art on display on every page.
The idea is to attract comic book collectors to web3 and also empower creators around the world by showing them what can be done on the blockchain. “If there were any space that embodied the essence of NFT in the physical world, it would be the comics,says Adam Fortier, founder of ComicsDAO and a veteran of the comics industry. “They’re interested in different stories and willing to try something, but you also have the collectible aspect.” he adds.
This reference movement sets the tone for the coming years. Comic book delivery also changes the way people interact with tangible, physical comics. Nountown comics are protected on the blockchain by the 4K protocol and allow their holders to redeem the NFT for a physical copy. Titan Comics has also licensed IP to franchises like The Simpsons, Blade Runner, and more. The company will surely take the NounsDAO project to another level and expand the web3 space.
He Nountown comic is written by David Leach and art by Danny Schlitz. The book’s official synopsis says it is “A deeply moving coming-of-age drama about a small-town thimble salesman caught up in a politically charged spy plot involving a stolen atomic bomb, a signed photo of the Pope, and a man with the head of a fox.”
