Many major brands have taken advantage of NFTs to increase customer engagement, and Nike has been at the forefront of this amazing paradigm shift. Now, in what is a prime example of using non-fungible tokens to create exclusivity and reward customer loyalty, Nike is ready to deliver a physical version of the Air Force 1 NFT sneaker.
NFTs have been developed in collaboration with RTKFT, a digital art studio that Nike acquired in 2021. Meanwhile, renowned digital artist Takashi Murakami takes the lead on the project, unveiling unique designs that make up the Air Force 1 NFT Collection. Now, the sportswear giant is aiming to take advantage of physical versions of these NFT sneakers. However, only holders of the associated NFTs will have the opportunity to purchase the exclusive physical versions.

How to Get the Nike Air Force 1 Physical Shoe
With that being said, there will be a forge event between April 24 and May 8 that will take place on the RTFKT website. Owners of the NFT sneakers will place orders for the physical versions, which will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.
A statement from the website reads: “Step into the future with RTFKT and Nike’s Air Force 1 Collection – featuring limited-edition designs by Tashi Murakami. Get the NFT so you can get the physical sneakers on 4.24.23.”
Therefore, fans who may be interested in the physical versions will have to get their hands on the tokens that make up the Air Force 1 NFT collection.
“RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1 digital collectibles have already been minted at one price, so holders will only have to pay gas fees for transactions during the Forging event. However, if you do not currently own a digital collectible from the aforementioned OpenSea Pre-Forge Collection, you will need to purchase a pair from OpenSea or another secondary market to be eligible for the Forge event.”
The shoes come in ten different colors named Genesis, Murakami Drip, Human, Robot, Demon, Angel, Reptile, Undead, Murakami DNA, and Alien.
