A major change is coming nifty gateway since Duncan and Griffin Cock Foster, its two founders, have announced that they are retiring from the company. This departure will be followed by the two launching a new company.
Some news: after almost 4 years, @gcockfoster and I go @Gemini and they’re passing the baton in @niftygateway.
This journey has been incredible, but Griffin and I are founders at heart and want to start another company.

Departure details
In a January 25, 2023 statement, Duncan Cock Foster explained that when Gemini first acquired the project in 2019, he and his brother agreed to stay for 4 years and then leave.
“We ended up staying the maximum amount of time we originally thought possible, which just goes to show how great this experience was!” she said, adding that they have been preparing for their exit for months, although their final day has not yet been decided.
Assuring clients that Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss (Gemini’s CEOs) would take Nifty to greater heights, Duncan Cock Foster promised to release a roadmap of the project’s future in the coming weeks. Interestingly, he said that he and his brother still don’t know what they are going to do in the future, but after taking a gap year, they would launch a new project.
He also pointed out some of Nifty Gateway’s milestones thus far, such as paying out more than $500 million to artists and pioneering new ways to sell NFTs.
