Following an ongoing partnership with the next generation fashion brand RTFKTSportswear titan Nike has just unveiled its latest offering: the ‘RTFKT Dunk Genesis’ sneakers, now available for pre-order at https://shop.rtfkt.com.
Unlike previous versions co-created by RTFKT and Nike, anyone can own these footwear items without having to own an expensive nft. Priced at $222 per pair, the ‘VOID Edition’ shoes will be available to the public on July 31, 2024, months before the ‘Ghost Edition’ releases on August 31, 2024.
Breaking new ground in innovation once again, each pair features distinctive design elements, including a detachable ‘Modular Heel Guard’ and ‘Vial Clip Tongue’ for a custom look. On top of that, each of the trainers comes accompanied by an NFC chip called ‘RTFKT World Merging’, giving owners the opportunity to own a digital counterpart.
A more affordable clothing option—stylish black-and-white T-shirts emblazoned with the quote “Oops, you’ve entered the future”—will also be available to purchase on March 31, 2024, for just $40 each.

The Nike x RTFKT nft saga continues
The blockchain platform to mint the NFTs associated with these fashion items remains uncertain. However, Nike typically operates its virtual collections on its .Swoosh digital platform, located on the Polygon blockchain to allow shoppers to trade, display or wear Nike-branded digital apparel in immersive experiences, including video games.
Additionally, this new introduction follows the success of the ‘RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1’ sneaker, which debuted earlier this year to widespread acclaim, particularly fueled by NBA legend LeBron James modeling the sneaker.
Also not to be overlooked is the impressive trading volume of RTFKT’s ‘Clone The minimum price for one of these NFTs alone is a whopping $2,850 (1.4 eth), due to it being a key hotspot for a pair of Air Force 1s.
As the saga continues, RTFKT and Nike’s upcoming nft venture not only merges fashion and technology, but also signals a transformative shift in how digital and physical clothing can be combined.
