Backed by NFTs fox tv show, Krapopolis, has been renewed for a third season despite not airing a single episode. The animated series, from Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon, is based in a mythical ancient Greek city where flawed humans, gods and monsters try to coexist without eliminating each other.
The announcement was made on March 2 via the show’s official Twitter account. Now fans don’t have to wait for it to start as they can get involved by voting, watching exclusive content, redeeming rewards and doing many other fun things.

Last August, Krapopolis launched its inaugural collection of 10,420 Krap NFT chickens. NFT holders can vote on various elements of the show, access behind-the-scenes content, attend IRL experiences with the cast and crew, and even redeem rewards for official merchandise and digital merchandise. However, the collection has yet to gain the kind of traction expected from such a high-profile project.
NFTs linked to popularity of shows
Despite the difficulties that Krapopolis NFTs could face, Michael Thorn, Fox’s president of scripted programming, remains optimistic about the project. Speaking to the press, he notes, “While [a third season order] it is atypical, it was a no-brainer for us with ‘Krapopolis.’
With that being said, the show will debut sometime this year. He will be voiced by an all-star cast that includes Richard Ayoade, Pam Murphy, Hannah Waddingham, Matt Berry and Duncan Trussell.
