Leader in cryptocurrency payment infrastructure, MoonPayand esteemed NFT artist and photographer, julie pacino, have unveiled a groundbreaking partnership centered on Pacino’s first feature film. The film is inspired by his native NFT photography collections, ‘I Live Here Now’ and ‘Keepers of the Inn’. A longtime proponent of NFTs and Web3, Pacino has made a name for herself, even taking part in TIMEPieces’ Build a Better Future Genesis launch in 2021.
Through his “I Live Here Now” collection, Pacino was able to do a deep dive into character development using still images, ultimately creating a psychological horror film. The plot revolves around a struggling actress who deals with her resurfaced childhood trauma while staying at a secluded hotel in the woods, where she encounters a mysterious presence that forces her to question the reality of her life. she.

While this film marks Pacino’s first feature film project, he previously directed several well-received short films under his production company, Tiny Apples, including Hard Work, Nowhere to Go, and Harmony in Gold. Pacino strongly advocates for the implementation of Web3 technology in the film industry, stating that NFTs free artists from relying solely on major studios and crowdfunding platforms for funding.
Pacino and MoonPay Collaboration to Integrate Web3 and Cinema
In a recent press release, Pacino expressed his excitement about partnering with MoonPay, explaining: “I want to help pave the way for the next generation of artists entering Web3, so I aligned myself with MoonPay as they have created a platform that makes entry easy, efficient and effective.” He stressed the importance of visibility for NFT artists, especially women and the LGBTQIA+ community, and expressed his hope that the association will broaden access to Web3 and amplify film projects.
This collaboration follows MoonPay’s acquisition of creative agency Web3 Nightshift, which has since been renamed Otherlife. MoonPay’s goal is to bring as many people to Web3 as possible, and supporting Pacino’s work could substantially improve his brand awareness and overall goals for him.
