Since media outlets around the world declared the “death of NFTs,” they have officially become interesting enough for serious art audiences. The latest proof of this is the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has presented its new nft project ‘Postcards’.
In a bid to get artists to experiment with nft technology, MoMA has found a novel way to generate dialogue and engagement. As a result, the MoMA Postcards initiative emerged, inviting artists to participate in a collaborative digital art project. Indeed, leveraging the fast Tezos blockchain to bring the project to life.
Essentially, a lead artist must come up with a theme and send an nft digital chain letter to a contemporary. This selected individual must then create a small nft stamp reflecting the previously established theme, before passing it on to the next artist. Once all 15 stamps have been filled, MoMA will display the 15 miniature works of art as a unique nft postcard.

MoMA inaugurates its Postcard collection in style
MoMA has announced that it will widely roll out its Postcards initiative at the end of October. However, to get things going, he first recruited 15 leading digital artists to create the first set of postcards. This involved each artist establishing a theme and then each of her fellow creators taking turns submitting their own digital stamp. This esteemed group of early experimenters includes the likes of Dmitri Cherniak, Kim Asendorf, IX Shells, p1xelfool, among others.
