Mercedes-Benz NXT, part of the famous German car brand, is joining forces with Mojito to present an nft collection. They call this new collection “The Age of technology,” which is part of their larger “Icon” series. This collection is the second of seven eras with 780 collectibles available. The launch day is scheduled for May 21 at 18:00 CET and will run until May 28.
Mint discounts and passes for collectors
The cost of each nft is 0.08 eth. Existing collectors have access to two types of discounts. Collectors of previous core collections such as Maschine, Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons and Mercedes-Benz NXT Eternities can get a 30% discount. Superdackel holders will be able to enjoy a 15% discount. Additionally, Maschine and Mercedes-Benz NXT Eternities collectors will receive new passes. These passes allow for a free mint (excluding gas fees) or a reduced price. Passes sell out once used.
The Mercedes-Benz NXT icons celebrate the company's design heritage. Led by design director Gorden Wagener, the design team created these elements to tell a story spanning seven eras, from now to the early days of automobiles. The first era, 'The Age of Luxury', focuses on today's automobiles and their design in the digital age.
The second era, “The Age of technology,” focuses on six legendary vehicles manufactured between 2000 and 2017. The collection features 62 unique features across five viewable categories, allowing fans to own digital versions of these classic vehicles.
Mojito's role in the nft launch
Mojito plays a crucial role in this nft launch. Provides the web3 infrastructure for Mercedes-Benz NXT. This includes blockchain integration, nft, and easy-to-use interfaces. Mojito combines the accessibility of web2 with the innovative qualities of web3.
Mojito offers tools like APIs and SDKs that simplify tasks like token creation, smart contract deployment, and automated token distribution. It also supports tiered discounts through tokengating and handles customer management and reporting. Additionally, it integrates WalletConnect and Metamask, making it easier for users to interact with nfts.
Inaugural Core Collection and Future Plans
The first main Mercedes-Benz NXT collection was Maschine. For this collection, they collaborated with renowned artist Harm van den Dorpel and art collective Fingerprints DAO. This partnership set a high standard for future collections.
Since “The Age of technology” is the second of seven planned eras, there are more exciting releases to come. Each era aims to show a different aspect of the rich history and evolution of Mercedes-Benz design. The collection offers a unique way for fans and collectors to connect with the brand's legacy through digital art.
