Sixth Manchester City NFT Collection
In a press release, Nuria Tarré, Chief Marketing and Fan Experience Officer of City Football Group, states: “Following the success of our fifth collection launched in August 2022, we are incredibly excited to continue our journey within the NFT and blockchain space with this landmark sixth collection of digital art, as we continue to grow our reputation as a collaborative and authentic brand across the digital art space.”
Therefore, “We are pleased to have been able to collaborate with Power Of Women on these pieces, as part of our broader club activity celebrating International Women’s Day.”
Leah Ibrahim Sams, artist and founder of Power Of Women, is equally excited about this collaboration. In a statement, she says, “As a child, soccer was always the sport for children; the footballers everyone looked up to were men, and I never saw myself as ‘cool’ enough to support a team, much less strong or safe enough to play”.
Before adding, “So when Man City approached me about creating a collection for International Women’s Day 2023, I was humbled by the opportunity to join forces with one of the world’s most iconic football clubs and celebrate what it means to be a female athlete and soccer fan. today.”
All in all, this collection draws inspiration from the diverse fan base of Manchester City Football Club and the Manchester-born suffrage movement. Both parties behind the collection aim to inspire and empower the next generation of women.
