In the latest showcase of NFTs hitting the mainstream, popular livestreamer Kai Cenat showed off a Chubby penguins plush to tens of thousands of his fans live on Twitch.
This caps off a big year for the top-of-the-line nft collection, following the debut of these plush toys at Walmart US locations in September 2023.

Kai Cenat, 22, is currently the second most subscribed live streamer and the 14th most followed live streamer on Twitch, with approximately 7 million followers and hundreds of thousands of regular viewers. Going live, he showed off a Pudgy Penguins plush he had just purchased on Twitch, expressing excitement about the nft digital item of his.
Pudgy Penguins is an 8,888-piece collectible nft collection created by a group of American college students and minted in July 2021. Ownership of the collection was purchased by 25-year-old Luca Netz in April 2022 for 2.5 million dollars in ethereum and has since gone from strength to strength, maintaining a price floor of 10.8 eth at the time of writing and becoming the first web3-native brand to have a major toy distribution deal.
