After months of hype and anticipation, the hyperplay The Web3 game launcher has now been launched. In addition to being a game launcher, the app serves as a store aggregator that will offer access to the Epic Games and Good Old Games stores within its interface.
Developed by a former metamask Led in collaboration with Game7, a Web3 gaming DAO, HyperPlay is now available on all major platforms and optimized for MetaMask users. According to his pseudonymous creator, JacobC.eth, the tool is “solving the distribution problem and freeing game developers from the risk of being crowded out by these monopolies like Apple, Google and Steam.”
He goes on to add that, “Unlike the Apple Store, we are not taking a 30% cut of the in-game economy from its developer. We are a super loyal product to developers.”
Instead of taking a cut of game sales or transactions, the tool generates its revenue by offering “convenience features”. These features are offered within the app, similar to how MetaMask generates its revenue.

HyperPlay will provide users with many game titles
The game launcher will provide users with many games such as DeFi Kingdoms, The Bornless, Voxie Tactics, Undead Block and many other Web3 titles. Also, there will be support for non-crypto games.
Now gamers using any operating system can access HyperPlay and enjoy its unique offerings. This applies to anyone using Windows, Mac, Steam Deck, or Linux. As mentioned above, it is optimized for MetaMask but also works well with WalletConnect.
According to former MetaMask leader Jacob, the pitcher “paintings” an in-game MetaMask cape in addition to the gameplay experience. This prevents users from having to minimize their game or switch windows to complete transactions. Also, they are interested in security to protect players from being exposed to compromised files.
