Polygon Labs announced its collaboration with leading game developers Square Enix earlier this week. The Symbiogenesis web3 game will be released in spring 2023. It offers unique experiences around digital collectibles with an attached overarching story. The game also has a variety of utility items. Initially, they would be traded off-chain, which can then be traded on-chain on the Polygon network. In addition, leveraging the Polygon network allows Square Enix to ensure that symbiogenesis it is highly sustainable. This is due to Polygon’s carbon neutral status, plus the added benefits of Ethereum’s secure and decentralized framework.
