Urgent warning to DOGE users
Dogecoin Chief Developer Mishaboar Has Recently Adopted x (formerly Twitter), to send an urgent warning to new members of the DOGE community. Mishaboar emphasized that new users must diligently comply with privacy and security protocols when using social media to Avoid being a victim of fraudulent attacks.
“Dear Dogecoin, this is a warning to (hopefully) newbies. NEVER share private information or send money (!!!) to “influencers” who promise you access to special channels on Telegram,” said Mishaboar.
He added:
“These types of scams are becoming more common and come from X users who might even have very large and popular crypto accounts following them. Having known followers (who, by the way, could be scammers) is not proof or guarantee of legitimacy. In fact, keep this in mind: Telegram = Hell.”
Following his warning, several community members have attested to the growing number of scam attempts targeting cryptocurrency users on social media platforms like X, Telegramand Discord.
Mishaboar also warned against sharing private information with suspicious people on Discord, emphasizing the importance of staying vigilant and implementing security practices to safeguard their identities and digital assets.

Dogecoin developer attacked by copycats
Before his recent warning, Mishaboar had always been a main target for imitators in X. According to the Dogecoin developer, these impostors have created social media accounts that mimic their feeds and provide incorrect information to members of the DOGE community.
Mishaboar has alerted the crypto community via X, urging users to report and stay away nft-market/crypto-scam-alert-fraudsters-impersonate-forbes-journalists-in-plot-to-rob-bayc-holders/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>impersonating accounts your identity on social networks. Furthermore, it has also asked the X support team to restrict these imposter accounts and improve security measures to crypto-investors-can-avoid-phishing-scams/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>prevent future scam attempts.
“These imitators continue to appear and it is increasingly difficult to put an end to them. I think this is because they are now using old accounts, which they hack or buy and then rename and use to copy my feed. Shouldn’t it be easy for Support to verify that one account is copying another’s feed (and usually also trying to direct message dozens of users at the same time)? Mishaboar stated.
He lamented the magnitude of the problem and how quickly it has grown, saying: “This is becoming a big problem and sooner or later some newbie will fall for it. To make matters worse, they are also directly targeting the Dogecoin community, full of people new to cryptocurrency (and scammers).”
