Force 0N1, A group of crypto industry veterans have picked up a top-tier anime-themed NFT collection. This is according to a press release shared on February 22. The collective is led by Old Fashion Research (OFR), a blockchain investment firm; however, the numbers involved have not been released.
Following the acquisition, most of the original team behind 0N1 Force will be gone, except for Henry Finn (Starlordy) and the community moderators. Finn is the current project lead and will now take over as CEO, while the community moderators will retain their roles.
Released in August 2021, Force 0N1 is one of the first NFT projects to offer anime-themed collectibles. Their goal is to create a new generation of cross-platform IP that enables the co-creation of 0N1VERSE by combining comic book storytelling with Web 3 gaming.

Those involved in the purchase are quite enthusiastic about the deal. Ling Zhang, Managing Partner of Old Fashion Research, notes: “We appreciate 0N1 Force’s creative narratives and vision in building the comic-centric 0N1 Verse.” Before adding, “0N1 Force has a vibrant and supportive community under the leadership of Starlordy, and we are excited to join the force with the core community to build a promising 0N1 Verse.”
Starlordy is equally optimistic. In a statement, he notes, “It is with great pleasure and an honor to continue serving the 0N1 Force community under new ownership that has my full faith and a very special thank you to the board members who were instrumental in supporting this transition.”

“The new ownership group is filled with passionate fans of art and storytelling, and their heartfelt energy has already breathed new life into this storied brand. His vision and resources will provide us with the strong foundation needed to help 0N1 Force reach its full potential alongside any leading company in the market.”
A new badge for 0N1 Force
Following the acquisition, a new 0N1 Force community board will be formed. It will include new CEO Henry Finn, Ling Zhang, Wei Zhou, former CFO of Binance and strategic advisor to OFR, William Tong, the new chief strategy officer, and Colin Goltra, COO of Yield Guild, who joins as a senior advisor and investor.
Zhou notes that he is in love with 0N1 Force “Unique community-driven storytelling narrative.” As a board, they are eager to build on the project’s early success, thereby helping to grow “the Enclave into a world-class IP mothership.”
Going forward, the crypto veterans collective plans to invest heavily in the growth of the 0N1 Force franchise. The goal is to make it the leading metaverse native IP. So far, the group has dedicated 50 ETH as part of the Artist Fund, which should support talent from the community and anyone else committed to developing the brand of the project.

0N1 Force is a high-flying NFT collection using 7777 procedurally generated anime-style characters. Each of which is presented as a single side profile character fashioned from a pool of over 100 hand drawn features. The end result has formed a lore-driven community project that incorporates high-quality art with detailed comic book narratives. The project arrived in August 2021 and showed incredible initial success that led it to accumulate a massive transaction volume of 54,000 ETH.
