What is Midleton’s first BlockBar NFT release?
BlockBar, Web3’s leading fine wine and spirits platform, will debut its first Irish whiskey release this month. Titled “Midleton Very Rare The Pinnacle Vintage,” this phygital release is, in fact, an NFT tied to a rare physical whiskey bottle.
Accordingly, the new aroma combines the forty annual Midleton Very Rare expressions topped off with a portion distilled in 1984. In terms of taste, you can taste a fascinating mix between tropical fruits, dark chocolate, green tea and figs drizzled with honey.
Of course, its bottle is as impressive as the whiskey itself: a cut-crystal decanter carefully stored at the Singapore-based BlockBar’s physical premises.
This one-of-a-kind collectible will be available for purchase beginning February 28 for a fixed price of $130,000 via the BlockBar NFT platform. Part of the sales will go to The Forest Genetic Resources Trust to support rare tree species in Irish forestry.
