Bitget, the global cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a multi-million dollar partnership with the iconic Spanish football league La Liga.
The company revealed the collaboration, which makes it the official crypto partner of La Liga, at the recently concluded Token 2049 event in Singapore.
Strategic partnership with global reach
In a statement Posted by Bitget on Sept. 19, the Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange said the merger is part of its attempts to gain a greater presence in Asia and Latin America, where football is very popular.
La Liga is home to some of the world's most successful football teams, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, who boast hundreds of millions of fans around the world. Matches between the two, popularly known as “El Clasico”, are said to be watched by more than 650 million people in over 180 countries.
The league also boasts some of the biggest stars in football, including Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr., and Robert Lewandowski. With nearly 27 million followers between them on x alone, Bitget hopes that its indirect partnership with these players will give it a massive platform to grow cryptocurrency adoption.

India, Indonesia, and Vietnam lead the list among Asian countries, while Brazil, Venezuela, and Mexico are the highest-ranked Latin American nations.

The deal, which is reportedly valued in the millions of dollars, will last up to three years. It is part of Bitget’s commitment to raising awareness about cryptocurrencies through sports, in line with its “Make It Count” philosophy.
By partnering with La Liga, the company aims to bring Web3 solutions to millions of football fans around the world, especially in Asia and Latin America, where both organisations see significant potential.
