The project will incorporate user-generated content (UGC) into Azuki’s storytelling, inviting owners to participate in the process to create a more interactive community.
These videos will explore the lives and stories of the characters Azuki, Elemental, and Beanz.
The first video: “Catch of the day”
On Tuesday, Azuki began streaming a 3DCG anime mini-short film titled “Catch of the Day,” directed by Genshō Yasuda.

This episode sets the tone for the series, showcasing Mizuki's personality and the world she inhabits. There are five episodes planned for this series, with a second short anime already in development.
Behind the animated series
The production team for these shorts is led by Genshō Yasuda, known for his film “Make a Girl.”
Yasuda's career began at Nitroplus as a CG animator before founding his own studio, Xenotoon's Yasuda Gensho Studio, in 2021.
The staff also includes Ken Kasahara for character designs and 3D models, Mio Ogyū and Ishida Shusaku for storyboards, and a 3D animation team consisting of Takahiro Kawaguchi, Daisuke Nakagawa, Shusaku, and Ogyū. Kaname Uchida and Hirotaka Teshima are responsible for the backgrounds, with Yonawo Suwano serving as sound producer and Koichi Kawase serving as producer.
