Pioneer of digital storytelling, fragment studies, has secured the services of legendary game designer, Richard Garfield, as a consultant for his upcoming game Applied Primate MegaForce. This innovative collaboration will seek to accelerate development of the title, while also leveraging insights from one of the world’s most celebrated names in board gaming.
The partnership will see Garfield and his consulting firm, Three Donkeys, play an advisory role in guiding the game through its next phase of development. Essentially incorporating the level of detail and tactical insight that made Garfield’s smash hit ‘Magic: the Gathering’ so successful.
Offering a broad gaming ecosystem rich in lore and storytelling, Applied Primate is a perfect fit for Richard and his consulting team. Effectively integrating the best elements of traditional real life and online gaming and combining them with a powerful new application of blockchain technology. The result will transform the platform from being an immersive adventure to a completely decentralized gaming ecosystem.
Taking NFTs to the next level
To truly engage with its players and community, Applied Primate has incorporated the latest in digital ownership technology. Through its platform, it has released a series of NFT collections that support the game with additional lore, characters, and immersive storytelling.
The latest of these sees the arrival of 10,000 NFT robot-themed avatars known as ‘The Sentinels’ currently debuting on the Ethereum blockchain. Minting takes place in three stages: Allegiance Cards and Keycards holders mint first, followed by partner collection holders on April 7, then BAYC-related NFT owners on April 9. However, the rating for each minting stage is based on a wallet snapshot taken at 11:30am EST on April 3rd.
