Alethea AI, a research and development studio, has released its dApp with Polygon that enables the creation of AI-powered NFTs. This allows users to create NFT avatars simply by entering text messages.
Let’s dive into what CharacterGPT has to offer.
What is CharacterGPT?
According to Alethea AI, CharacterGPT will allow “anyone to quickly create, train, and trade AI characters like NFTs in Polygon.” Unlike other AI technologies, such as Open AI’s Dall-E 2, this build does more than just generate images based on text. CharacterGPT generates fully interactive AI characters from “a single line message in natural language”.
Where can I mint the NFT?
For those who want to mint CharacterGPT NFTs, you can visit mycharacter.ai using the Polygon dApp.
For the launch of the dApp, a virtual version of Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal was created for launch. This virtual version later became a 1/1 AI NFT collectible that evolved from his “writings, public statements and interviews”. Additionally, there is a golden checkmark next to the Nailwal collectible to show his consent to the creation of the NFT. To make this possible, Alethea AI uses “AI Protocol: An Ownership and Property Rights Layer for Generative AI Now Available in Polygon.” It’s more, In a statement, Naiwal said the following:
“I have seen firsthand how Alethea AI has developed this technology in recent years and through its CharacterGPT AI engine.” Therefore, your team is excited to “Continue to support Alethea as it builds on Polygon and bring the power and potential of generative AI to the thriving ecosystem.”
What are the use cases of CharacterGPT?
As interesting as CharacterGPT sounds, I’m sure you’re wondering about its possible use cases. Ahmed Matyana, COO of Alethea AI, shared some use case examples of the new technology. Matyana said that “Users can now create interactive and intelligent characters that could serve as AI companions, digital guides, or as NPCs in games.” In addition, the company expects prominent figures to use CharacterGPT to create digital twins of themselves. This can also “serve as digital companions for their fans.” As for digital assets, they can be used in the metaverse, in games, museums, and sports arenas, among many other things.
Since the launch of ChatGPT by OpenAI, AI technology has become the talk of the Internet. This raises the question: where else will we see embedded AI? One thing is for sure, and that is the use of AI in Web3, from AI generated avatars to AI art. Perhaps an AI PFP NFT collection is next, but only time will tell.
