ai Meal Bot Puts Users in Danger with ‘Poisonous Bread Sandwiches’

Have you ever looked at the refrigerator wondering what the heck to do? It happens to the best of us. Well, Pak ‘n’ Save aimed to solve this problem with Savey food robot. The company touts the app as a cutting-edge solution for cost-effective dining. To clarify, the app allowed users to enter available ingredients and receive automated recipes with enthusiastic messages like “Delicious!” However, the seemingly harmless help of ai led to puzzling results.

The problems began when users began to introduce any household item, not just food. Then, instead of suggesting appetizing dishes, the app offered recipes like “Aromatic Water Mixture.” This water mixture resulted in deadly chlorine gas. Additionally, the app suggested “Poison Bread Sandwiches,” which combine ant poison and glue, and “Methanol Bliss,” which includes turpentine-based French toast. These dangerous concoctions raise serious concerns.
A spokesperson for Pak ‘n’ Save expressed disappointment over the misuse of the tool and clarified that use of the app is intended for people over 18 years of age. Additionally, the company plans to improve controls to prevent these types of incidents in the future.

The app included a disclaimer that it could not guarantee that all recipes were safe for consumption. Right now, you can’t even enter your own ingredient, just select it from a list of popular items. However, it is not clear if this is a new feature or if there are users manipulating the ai. Therefore, as the digital landscape continues to evolve, ensuring the responsible and safe use of ai-powered tools must remain a top priority.
