Zeal returns home to Ethereum as layer 2, completed migration

Zeal has successfully gone from an independent layer 1 block chain to an ethereum Layer 2 platform using the OPTIMISM and EIGENDA OP stack for data availability.

The migration was ended on March 26, with the activation of the zeal L2 Mainnet at the height of block 31056500, according to an update of Celol2Countdown.xyz. The Forno node service is now operational and is ready to admit the new L2 network.

In a statement that celebrates the milestone, the zeal team indicated that the movement strengthens the technical zeal capacities, improves interoperability with the ethereum ecosystem and maintains its distinctive characteristics, such as low transaction rates and rapid processing times.
