Stiftung Ethereum, the Ethereum Foundation based in Zug, Switzerland.ethereum.orgseeks to immediately fill the position of Executive Director within the Foundation.
The role involves defining and executing the day-to-day business of the Foundation and leading the organization at the executive level. The selected candidate will have significant experience in corporate finance activities and/or operations. A technical background (software, hardware, mathematics, science) is advantageous but not necessary.
The ability to operate effectively in Switzerland and around the world is essential and the successful candidate will need to live full time in Switzerland or spend the majority of their time there.
- Experience building or running a foundation is a plus.
- Knowledge of the cryptocurrency space is highly desirable but not essential.
- The desire to work creatively and energetically to define emerging decentralized online economic and social systems is a fundamental requirement.
- The Director will interact with and support various divisions of Ethereum that are engaged in software development, communications, and community outreach activities.
- The Director will oversee operations in the subsidiary divisions, further refining which activities properly pertain to the Foundation level and which to the operating company level.
- The Director will be supported by staff already in place and with the ability to hire additional consulting professionals who have guided Ethereum through local and global business environments.
- The director will work closely with local and global Ethereum legal, accounting and human resources firms.
- Coordination of activities with local and global organizations such as CoinCenter, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Cryptocurrency Research Group (CCRG), self-regulatory bodies and traditional regulatory bodies can be expected to be part of the portfolio.
