The partnership means that MetaMask users can sell their tokens for fiat without having to connect to the ethereum mainnet.
Ramp's initial partnership with the ethereum-based wallet was in September 2023.
MetaMask, owned by web3 software studio Consensys, is a leading non-custodial crypto wallet connected to most decentralized applications.
The latest stage of the collaboration will provide direct withdrawals to users through support for more than 35 local currencies. Support is available in 130 countries, the platform noted. MetaMask users with eth on Layer 2 networks can withdraw money in fiat currency through local banks.
The integration expands Ramp Network's offering that allows users to purchase cryptocurrencies with direct bank transfers, credit or debit cards, and local payment options.
Ramp's expansion efforts
On January 18, Ramp Network expanded its collaboration with World Chain. Their partnership with Tools for Humanity allows Ramp clients to buy and sell World token (WLD) and USDC (USDC) on World Chain. The integration introduced inbound and outbound services for both USDC and WLD on Optimism.
Ramp Network added support for the exit of cryptocurrencies to fiat for Mexican banks through integration with the Interbank Electronic Payments System, or SPEI. The milestone, announced in October 2024, allowed Ramp Network to offer real-time cryptocurrency payments to Mexican pesos to its customers throughout Mexico.
In early September, the platform launched its service in all 50 US states, as well as the District of Columbia. The company also offers its solution in Brazil.
