Steven Nerayoffone of the first advisors of eth/ethereum-price-rally-in-jeopardy-2020/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>ethereumhas reacted to a social media post accusing him of ethereum-news/ethereum-insider-eth-founders-fraud/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>fraud and exploitation. He defamatory accusation was posted by a user calling himself Cryptoking on social media platform X in July as part of a story about his failed crypto project. However, Nerayoff has reiterated his position on the allegation, calling it “highly defamatory” and totally fabricated.
Origin of the defamatory publication on social networks
The post by Jake Greenbaum, aka Cryptoking, was recently discovered after almost four months as a reaction to a discussion in another thread. Another account, @Whalechart, posted on social media platform X about Nerayoff’s plans to share evidence of the fraudulent activities of ethereum founders in the early days of ethereum. However, Cryptoking refuted Nerayoff’s legitimacy and called it the biggest fraud he has ever worked with.
“He took $250,000 from me to “list” a project on Bittrex. I have text messages going back to 2017 about this”, Cryptoking saying.
Nerayoff seemed not to have taken this latest accusation lightly. In his response in the same thread, the lawyer called Cryptoking a shill who is paid to disgrace his name. He also went further by threatening to sue Cryptoking and expose all their fraudulent activities with sufficient evidence.
“If you think you have proof, wait until you see mine. I don’t just play on Twitter, I like the courts”, Nerayoff answered.
Nerayoff would later share the original post on his own timeline. In the post, Cryptoking detailed how its first crypto project lost $1 million in capital. According to him, he wanted to start a truly anonymous cryptocurrency and paid Steven Nerayoff $250,000 in consulting fees to list on the Bittrex cryptocurrency exchange, among many other things that led to the project’s failure.
Cryptoking claims that it would later learn that Nerayoff was leveraging new projects to receive listing fees, while only fulfilling a small portion of them. As a result, he was arrested and jailed, in reference to criminal extortion charges against the lawyer.
It is important to be aware of these extortion charges. have been fired by a US judge as federal prosecutors were unable to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. Nerayoff has also always taken the position that the charges were fabricated by the SEC, the FBI and the Department of Justice in an effort to discredit him.
ethereum Whistleblower Plans to Take Legal Action
In response, Nerayoff plans to take legal action against Cryptoking for spreading misinformation. The lawyer also wrote a warning note to anyone planning to spread lies about him.
I found the initial piece that was literally manufactured. As you can see it is very defamatory and he wrote it thinking that I was in prison hahaha. This is just a warning to others who want to get paid to lie about me. I will expose it and sue. This is what he published. See you in court. https://t.co/eaB51FpbSr
