Although it has stopped its free fall, the price of bitcoin continues to struggle and is just below $27,000.
Altcoins are also pretty quiet on a daily scale, but general price drops of late have hurt some of them quite a bit.
btc below $27,000 again
bitcoin was trading high until several days ago, but its inability to break above the $28,000 level became a negative catalyst for upcoming price movements. The trading week began with small price drops that ultimately resulted in btc falling below $27,000 for the first time in October.
The last 24 hours were not that different, as the asset remained relatively quiet but still below $27,000.
This has hurt the market capitalization a little more. The metric has decreased by a few billion and is now just above $520 billion. Its market dominance, however, has increased slightly and is currently at 50%.
eth sees 7-month low
The second largest cryptocurrency has not enjoyed itself in recent days either. eth was trading near $1,800 earlier this month, but began to lose value, perhaps around the time the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out.
The cryptocurrency fell more than $200 in days. As a result, eth fell below $1,550 today, becoming its lowest price since March this year.
Solana and Dogecoin are also slightly in the red on a daily scale. Toncoin is the one that has fallen the most of the largest capitalization alternatives, having lost just over 2% daily.
In contrast, Binance Coin, Ripple, and Cardano make smaller gains. However, the total crypto market capitalization has remained relatively stable at just over $1.05 trillion on CMC.
