BlackRock has apparently registered an ethereum trust in the state of Delaware, possibly a first step toward an Ether (eth) spot exchange-traded fund (ETF).
BlackRock registered a bitcoin (btc) analog trust in June, shortly before filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a bitcoin ETF.
The entity has been registered by the state Division of Corporations with a incorporation date of November 9. The registered agent is Daniel Schweiger at BlackRock’s Wilmington, DE address. According LinkedInSchwieger is CEO of BlackRock.
