The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, common consent and final closure. When approximately 135 Crusoe employees are completed, they will join NYDIG and continue to operate the business under their property. No work eliminations are expected as a result of the acquisition. The financial terms of the agreement have not been revealed.
“Our association with Crusoe was founded on a shared cultural alignment and a mutual commitment to boost advances in the intersection of power and calculation,” said Nydig CEO, Shah tiles. “Crusoe has created an extraordinary Bitcoins mining business by demonstrating a remarkable innovation, controlling the main talents of the industry to solve complex challenges and unlock without exploiting energy sources. We are incredibly excited to integrate this world class team and its capacities in our growing business.”
Crusoe, founded in 2018, developed DFM technology to convert the natural gas of the oil fields, which would otherwise burn like flags, in electricity for modular data centers. Initially, the company used these data centers for bitcoin mining before expanding to artificial intelligence work loads (ai) promoted by GPU groups. The Crusoe approach to place computing with energy production has contributed to reducing the environmental impact while using stranded energy sources.
Crusoe bitcoin mining operations have deployed more than 425 modular data centers, representing more than 250 megawatts of energy in multiple states, including Colorado, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, UTAH, Texas and internationally in Argentina. According to the company, its DFM technology has mitigated 2.7 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions and prevented almost 22 billion cubic feet of natural gas from being accumulated.
“The work test mechanism in the bitcoin block chain algorithmically encourages the convergence of energy and computing,” said co -founder and CEO of Crusoe Chase Lochmiller. “Crusoe is proud to have a pioneer in the reuse of wasted energy resources, such as gas ignition to feed the bitcoin network. Our innovative energy approach used for mining is exclusively complementary to the bitcoin of Nydig custody, institutional trade and mining bus with the same mentality of energy energy.
After the agreement, Crusoe will change its approach to the ai infrastructure scale, the construction of optimized data centers with ai–ai and expand its products from the Crusoe cloud products while continuing to develop energy solutions for their computer operations.
