Recently it has caught my attention that multiple American congressmen who have taken very public positions in favor of bitcoin are not even aware of the prosecution that currently develops from Samourai's wallet developers, Keonne Rodríguez and William Hill.
This is simply amazing for me as a bitcoiner. The current legal prosecution of the Samourai team, as well as the relevant prosecutions against Roman Sterlingov, accused of operating the bitcoin Fog mixer, and Roman Storm and Roman Semenov, two developers behind Tornado Cash, are the most important legal cases that affect the sovereign and private use of bitcoin in the Docket Today.
Roman Storm is sitting in jail at this time after a conviction reached with zero overwhelming evidence. His conviction was based on nothing but statements not proven by the Blockchain Chainysis analysis company. Samourai and Tornado's cash developers are being processed under money laundering legislation to develop purely self -demo software that, under no circumstances in which their software could be used, gave them control over user funds.
The fact that this not only is not in the radar of any congressman or congressman who claims to be pro –bitcoin, but is not spoken out loud, is absurd.
So, let's do something to change that. I am asking all the citizens of the United States to read this to take the form of form below, fill it appropriately and send it to your congressman or congressman, especially if he is in a district with a representative who publicly says to be Pro-bitcoin.
This article is a shot. The opinions expressed are completely from the author and do not necessarily reflect those of btc INC or bitcoin magazine.

I am writing as a worried citizen of (his state). I want to draw your attention a very important matter regarding the criminal prosecution of open source developers who write software for the bitcoin and cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Keonne Rodríguez and William Hill by Samourai Wallet, Roman Semenov and Roman Storm of Tornado Cash, are being prosecuted for several acts or conspiracy statements to commit money laundering. The four men have done nothing more to produce and publish open source software that was available for free for the public.
A fundamental reality of decentralized networks such as bitcoin is the ability of their architecture to its users to interact and perform transactions with their money using nothing more than open and free source software that communicates with a decentralized computer network. By using cryptocurrencies in this way, no one, except the end user of the software, has the ability to influence, control or restrict the transfer of a person's assets in these decentralized networks.
The four men have done nothing beyond the products and operate the open source software available for free with the aim of helping the end users of these networks to protect their personal privacy. Americans have the right to privacy, especially financial privacy, so the Banking Secret Law requires financial institutions to take measures to protect the security and confidentiality of the financial information of the Americans.
Block chains by their own nature, however, are public information stores. In order for everyone to guarantee that the rules of the decentralized network are followed correctly, everyone must be able to discharge and verify the entire transactional history of a blockchain. The transactional history of all. This allows anyone to make transactions to potentially see how much wealth has, even to continue and learn from future transactions to perform.
This is not only very sensitive information to have in the general public domain, but it can present a very serious risk for people's physical security. The incidents of kidnapping, physical assault and invasion of the house to steal bitcoin of individuals have increased frequently as their value has increased.
The software that allows users to maintain their privacy while using nets such as bitcoin is fundamental, not only for their privacy in general, but also for their physical safety. Both Samourai's wallet and tornado cash do so in a purely self -odial way, which means that no entity other than the end users themselves has control or ability to influence, the transactions that are made. This also means that there is no legal entity to which current positions really apply (that is, a custody institution subject to financial regulations).
Separate, Roman Sterlingov has been convicted in a criminal court for operating a custody mixing service used to achieve privacy in the bitcoin network. While this service was custodian and, as such, it would have financial regulatory obligations, the evidence presented in the Roman participation trial in the operation of this service is purely circumstantial. Many details of the nature of this evidence and its questionability exist in the public registry of Sterlingov's lawyer, Tor Ekeland.
He entertains to investigate these matters and take measures to correct these serious involuntary abortions of justice resulting from the application of financial regulations not applicable to open source software developers, and the complete embedding of the requirements to show evidence behind a reasonable doubt to achieve a conviction in a criminal procedure.
(Include the bold if your congressman/congressman is publicly in favor of bitcoin)
This is incredibly important when it comes to the freedom to use bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in a self -ocustial way and that presents freedom. I hope to see that your actions in Congress are up to your position on public records when it comes to bitcoin as a policy problem.
Sincerely,
