The long-awaited GTA VI trailer from Rockstar Games has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling with a big “BUY $btc” caption.

According to a mail On the leak-based subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, an X user with the username “gta6trailerleak” posted the trailer for GTA 6 ahead of the official release.
GTA VI is the next installment in the ever-popular “Grand Theft Auto” series and the game has often been touted as the most anticipated among gaming circles.
Earlier this month, Rockstar Games, the series' developer, released a mail on X reveals the official date and time for the release of the game's first trailer.
The trailer was originally supposed to be released later today, but as mentioned above, someone leaked it about 15 hours earlier. In response to the leak, Rockstar decided to release the GTA VI trailer ahead of schedule.

Since then, the leaker's account has also been suspended and with it, the original leaked trailer post has also disappeared. However, a user on another subreddit, r/LeaksAndRumours, saved an upload of the trailer now removed.
The leaked trailer was identical to the one Rockstar ended up releasing, except for the fact that it had much worse image quality and a huge “BUY $btc” title right in the middle.

Since the day the game was officially unveiled, it has been the main topic of conversation in the community and its reach has been so strong that the post mentioned above for the trailer date announcement became the most liked post on the history of the platform. formerly known as Twitter.
So far, the official trailer on YouTube already has almost 50 million views, further showing the phenomenon that the game has been. GTA V, its predecessor, is currently the second best-selling video game of all time according to Wikipedia and GTA VI is likely to follow in its footsteps.
Given what a big event the GTA VI trailer was going to be, it would seem that the leaker, a likely bitcoin supporter, decided to use it to draw more attention to the cryptocurrency and perhaps hoped that with so much attention, it would lead to an additional increase in the price. It would also appear for the asset.

It would appear that btc has not enjoyed any notable benefits from the leak, as the asset has moved fairly flat over the past day. The following graph shows the performance of the asset over the last few days.

Currently, btc is trading around the $41,600 level, having recorded a rally of over 12% over the past week.
