Outflows from US spot bitcoin and ethereum ETFs (exchange-traded funds) collectively surpassed $470 million yesterday.
Data of <a target="_blank" href="https://farside.co.uk/btc/”>Far Side Investors shows that btc funds recorded the largest outflows, with more than $415.1 million collectively leaving investment product reserves on December 30. <a target="_blank" href="https://farside.co.uk/eth/”>ETF ETF reserves fell by $55.5 million.
Fidelity Leads bitcoin and ethereum ETF Outflows
Both Fidelity's btc and eth ETFs recorded the largest outflows. Yesterday, Fidelity's FBTC recorded outflows of $154.6 million. This was after $208.6 million left the fund the previous day. The next largest outflows were recorded by Grayscale's GBTC, with $134.5 million leaving the fund.
Similarly, BlackRock's IBIT, Bitwise's BITB, Invesco's ARKB, and Grayscale's btc all saw outflows. The remaining US btc ETFs did not register new shine.

Yesterday's bitcoin ETF flows were negative by $415.1 million.
Fidelity had outflows of $154.6 million, GBTC $134.5 million, Blackrock $36.5 million, Bitwise $31.4 million, btc $31.7 million, and Ark $26.4 million.

Regarding eth ETFs, Fidelity's FETH was among the 4 funds that suffered outflows. While FETH took the No. 1 spot in terms of outflows yesterday, Grayscale's ETHE and eth recorded respective outflows of $17.4 million and $13.8 million. Franklin's EZET also saw funds coming out of its reserves yesterday, while the rest of the eth ETFs saw no new flows.
Over $281M Liquidated in Last 24 Hours as Leveraged Longs Hit
Along with outflows from US spot bitcoin and ethereum ETFs, cryptocurrency bulls also took a hit. Data of glass coin shows that settlements in 24 hours reached more than $281 million.
Long positions in btc and eth accounted for the majority of liquidations. Around $78.94 million was wiped out of btc long positions, while eth long positions lost $38.83 million.
That's after both eth and btc saw their prices drop in the last 24 hours. bitcoin <a target="_blank" href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/”>price fell by a small margin to trade at $92,707.44 at 2:15 a.m. EST. Meanwhile, the price of eth <a target="_blank" href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/”>corrected more than 1%.
