The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, has announced that he will officially resign from his position and as leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, effective when the party elects his successor.

Trudeau has faced massive criticism in recent years due to his inability to solve the housing shortage, inflation and other economic struggles facing the country. He has also stated that he is fighting internal battles and therefore cannot be the best choice for the country in the next Canadian federal election in 2025.

Bitcoiners in Canada have the opportunity to vote for a Prime Minister who has sound economic policies and promotes the use of bitcoin. If this happens, they would join the ranks of the United States, El Salvador and other countries that have leaders embracing bitcoin and its benefits.
