A bitcoin whale has donated 8.07 btc to cover the $520,000 travel expenses owed by recently released Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Julian Assange was an early supporter of btc
The btc whale donation is the largest of the total of 8.2 btc that has been made sent So far, an additional $376,000 in fiat has been donated, comfortably exceeding the funding goal.

The crypto community's backing of Assange is partly due to his support for bitcoin during its early stages, with WikiLeaks becoming one of the first organizations to accept btc in 2011.
Many in the crypto community believe that WikiLeaks' acceptance of the pioneering digital currency was a historic event that helped pave the way for btc acceptance.
Others in the crypto community also consider Assange a hero for leaking classified documents that revealed human rights violations in the United States.

Members of the cryptocurrency community are trying to find out who was behind the generous donation made to Assange. Speculation that Andrew Tate was responsible for the btc transaction began to grow after the controversial social media personality commented on the donation in a post with an x and a gift box emoji.
