Electric car maker Rivian is developing an electric bike, according to sources talking to Bloomberg. CEO RJ Scaringe apparently told staff about the electric bike effort during a company meeting on Friday, noting that a small team is currently working on it.
Bloomberg says it’s unclear whether Scaringe was talking about a battery-assisted bicycle (also known as an electric bike) or an electric motorcycle. However, Scaringe has sparked an entry into micromobility in the past and the company holds patents for electric bike designs and components.

Even electric bike favorites like Rad Power and vanmoof have recently struggled after finding success during the covid lockdowns. Would you buy a Rivian electric bike?
