When cool cats Came out at the end of 2021, the project was one of the most popular at the time and managed to rake in millions of dollars in sales volume. Things would quickly go wrong for the famous profile picture project, however, as infighting led to its downfall. After months of turmoil, the project’s founders aim to get things back on track by rebranding and helping Cool Cats regain its leadership status.
Revealing in a Tweet, the project says it is rebranding as it prepares to expand beyond Ethereum. Essentially, it seeks to offer support across a wide range of blockchain networks and bring interoperability to the feline empire.

Airdrops and future plans for Cool Cats
In the future, Cool Cats and Cool Pets NFT holders can expect to receive a free Fracture NFT airdrop. Robert Mehew, Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer of Cool Cats, describes Fracture NFTs as “Dynamic NFTs that enable a new storytelling experience through digital collectibles.”
Fracture NFT holders can expect to see them evolve as they complete various quests/journeys in the “World of Cooltopia”, while at the same time earning rewards for their efforts. Additionally, the team has also revealed that NFT Explorers will be arriving later this year and will be part of a larger expansion for Cool Cats.
NFT Explorers will feature customizable full-body avatars that can be used on different blockchain networks. Holders will also be able to import them into a variety of supported apps and platforms. The project has not revealed much information about Explorers NFT. However, people in the know claim that they will be accessible via various Layer 1 blockchains and Layer 2 scale networks, even those that do not support Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
As previously stated, Cool Cats is trying to recapture its lost glory. At its peak in late 2021, the cheapest digital collectible was around 14 ETH. According to the NFT minimum price, the current minimum price is 2 ETH. That’s a drop of more than 85%.
