I've been trying harder to keep up with movies lately and even managed the rare feat of seeing one in an actual movie theater. I saw Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of War among Gentlemen, starring Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Elza González, Babs Olusanmokun and others in what I interpreted as a silly spaghetti western/spy/heist movie.
I guess it's also a war movie, based (very loosely) on a true story about a group of unstoppable guys who embark on a secret unauthorized mission to destroy a German submarine resupply ship during World War II. He makes no attempt to reflect on the weight of the mission, which was to clear the way for American ships to cross the Atlantic and join the war effort. Ministry It's all vibes and style. You know, a Guy Ritchie movie.
It's also the kind of almost mindless fun I expect from the major movie that got a new trailer last week: Deadpool and Wolverine.
I don't have to sell the trailer for it. Deadpool and Wolverine movie for you. Between Hugh Jackman (logan) finally wearing Wolverine's yellow and blue suit, Leslie Uggams (Deadpool 2) inviting Ryan Reynolds (Energetic) consume cocaine by doing a Frozen reference, and Madonna As a prayer, you know if you want to see this. In addition to Reynolds, Jackman and Uggams, she also stars Morena Baccarin (fast charlie) and Emma Corrin (The crown). It will be released on July 26.
This year's Russell Crowe exorcism movie, called ExorcismIt's not a sequel to last year. The Pope's Exorcist. I looked for it. It's about an actor who films an exorcism movie and thinks he's slipping back into addiction, but it turns out he's probably actually possessed. The film also stars Sam Worthington (Avatar: The Way of Water), Ryan Simpson (Please baby please), Adam Goldberg (Running with the devil), and David Hyde Pierce (The perfect host) – a cast that is not bad at all, in short! It will be released on June 7.
In black comedy/thriller Blinks twice, Channing Tatum plays a probably evil tech billionaire named Slater King who takes a group of women to his private island for some fun. But of course, if it's a party, then it's of the spooky murder type with some perhaps spooky supernatural things going on. First-time director Zoë Kravitz (the batman) got a great cast for this film: in addition to Tatum, it stars Naomi Ackie (Whitney Houston: I want to dance with someone), Christian Slater (free throw), Geena Davis (Fairyland), Haley Joel Osment (June Pharmacy), Alia Shawkat (Drift), and Kyle MacLachlan (Miranda's victim). It will be in theaters on August 23.
