Investing.com – The Israel stock market closed higher this Sunday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the dollar gained 0.61%, reaching a new 52-week high.
The best performer of the session was Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:), up 3.76% or 138.00 points to close at 3,810.00. Meanwhile, Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:) rose 3.04%, or 350.00 points, to close at 11,860.00, and City Airport Ltd (TASE:) rose 3.00%, 177.00 points, ending the session at 6,077.00.
At the bottom of the index was Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:), which fell 1.67%, or 85.00 points, to close at 5,008.00. Melisron (TASE:) fell 1.14% or 310.00 points to close at 26,900.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:) fell 1.07%, 260.00 points, to 24,060.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 262 to 189 and 88 ended unchanged.
Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:) shares rose to all-time highs; up to 3.04% or 350.00 to 11,860.00.
Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.16% or 1.76 to $83.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Brent oil futures for June delivery rose 0.05% or 0.04 to settle at $86.99 a barrel, while Gold futures for June delivery rose 1.05% or 0.04. 90%, 42.10, up to $2,254.80 per troy ounce.
USD/ILS rose 0.64% to 3.69, while EUR/ILS rose 0.69% to 3.98.
US dollar index futures rose 0.20% to 104.27.
