Popular centralized exchange and nft marketplace OKX and gaming-focused blockchain Immutable have announced the imminent launch of a launchpad for web3 gaming NFTs.
This will allow users to purchase tokenized in-game items and other game-related NFTs for titles on Immutable's zkEVM network, made possible by OKX's integration of Immutable zkEVM.
As part of this launch, Immutable will integrate the OKX wallet within its existing chain-wide web3 profile, Immutable Passport, in addition to incorporating the OKX nft marketplace into Immutable's nft order book.

This partnership is the latest in a series of headline-grabbing moves for Immutable. Exactly a year ago, they announced a key partnership with Polygon, a blockchain focused on gaming and entertainment. Six months ago they formed an official partnership with Amazon Web Services and just a few months ago they made public a working relationship with Ubisoft's Strategic Innovation Lab.
The collaboration between OKX and Immutable comes at a time when many of Immutable's leading titles, which have been in development for many years, are preparing for long-awaited releases, including the mobile RPG title Guild of Guardians, the MMOFPS title MetalCore and the tactical TCG Shardbound. .

Jason Lau, chief innovation officer at OKX, also shared; “With over 270 titles in development on Immutable’s zkEVM, OKX wallet users are set to enjoy seamless onboarding, gameplay, and managing their in-game assets.”
The web3 gaming launch pad is scheduled to launch in the coming months, possibly coinciding with the release of Guild of Guardians on May 15.
