The number of active users on the Starknet network dropped sharply after the airdrop announcement.
According to Starkscan, the number stands at 84,260 at the time of writing. Furthermore, on February 14, 2024, the number of active wallets on the network surpassed the 225,000 mark. The project team then announced that on February 20 it would distribute tokens and 1.3 million users would receive rewards.

The decrease in activity on Starknet could be due to community dissatisfaction regarding the criteria for receiving an airdrop. Therefore, those who made five or more transactions over three or more separate months totaling at least $100 and had 0.005 eth or more in their wallet before November 15, 2023, were eligible to receive STRK token rewards.

The Starknet team later reported that some netizens were “left behind due to certain criteria” and that they were working to resolve these issues.
