Microsoft, a notoriously conservative and slow giant, is bringing artificial intelligence right to the heart of Windows. But. After investing a total of $13 billion in OpenAI, maker of ChatGPT (and taking a 49 percent stake in the process), will ai really improve its products?
Microsoft went to town. Bing Chat officially kicked off its year of ai, while Copilot, helping it with its ai intelligence, subsequently launched on Edge, Microsoft 365 products like Word and Powerpoint, and finally Windows 11.
While ai interactions aren't perfect, the one constant around ai is that everything is changing incredibly fast. Microsoft has already announced that Copilot will be updated with the more powerful GPT-4 Turbo and Dall-E 3 models.

Amazon's Prime Video will begin serving ads on January 29, 2023
You will have to pay $3 a month on top of your subscription to get rid of the ads.
Amazon is telling its Prime Video subscribers that they have to pay more if they don't want their viewing experience interrupted by commercials. It will start to show "limited ads" with movies and shows on its service starting January 29. If they want to keep it ad-free, they'll have to pay an additional $3/month fee on top of their Prime subscription or their $9/month standalone Prime Video. membership. Apple appeals ban on Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2

Apple filed its appeal with the International Trade Commission (ITC), seeking to overturn a ban on U.S. sales of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2, according to court records. The company is also requesting an emergency suspension of the ban until a decision is made on the proposed redesigns for both smartwatch models. The matter even came before President Biden, and Apple waited in vain for a veto. The ban officially goes into effect today, although Apple began removing smartwatches from its physical and digital stores last week.
