Investing.com – The Indian stock market closed higher this Monday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the close on the NSE, the index rose 0.05%, while the index advanced 0.04%.
The best performers of the session were Be protected India Ltd (NS:), which rose 2.98% or 792.10 points to close at 27,372.40. Meanwhile, Adani Companies Ltd (NS 🙂 advanced 2.40% or 68.25 points to close at 2,917.20 and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (NS 🙂 rose 2.29% or 23.50 points to 1,047 .85 at the end of the session.
The worst results of the session were Eicher Motors Ltd. (NS:), which fell 2.54%, or 105.15 points, to close at 4,038.35. Bharti Airtel Ltd. (NS:) fell 1.86% or 19.15 points to close at 1,013.05 and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. (NS:) fell 1.51% or 26.10 points to 1,703.30.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Nestle India Ltd (BO:), which rose 2.94% to 27,376.65, tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:), which rose 1.66% to 1,293, 75, and HCL Technologies Ltd (BO:), which gained 1.29. % to close at 1,485.00.
The worst performers were Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:), which fell 1.98% to 1,012.40 at the end of the session, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:), which lost 1.43% to at 1,701.50, and HDFC Bank Ltd (BO:), which fell 1.43%, remaining at 1,701.50. 1.03% to 1,692.00 at closing.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the National Stock Exchange of India by 1,378 to 740 and 66 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 2,440 rose and 1,324 fell, while 147 ended unchanged.

Gold futures for February delivery fell 0.56% or 11.70 to $2,071.80 a troy ounce. Regarding other commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in February fell 0.61% or 0.44 to settle at $71.33 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for delivery in March fell 1 0.10%, 0.08, to $77.07 a barrel.
USD/INR was down 0.01% at 83.24, while EUR/INR was up 0.30% at 92.14.
US dollar index futures rose 0.15% to 101.06.
