The Cardano community has remained alert after a member issued a crucial warning, warning members about a crypto scam attack targeting ADA holders.
Cardano issues scam warning alerts
in his official x (formerly Twitter), the Cardano The community recently posted a high-risk warning, alerting community members to an ongoing crypto scam attack operated via a malicious Berry Pool scam event. The scam alert was published on December 14 and aims to raise awareness about the dangers of these malicious cryptographic attacks.

Recent reports revealed that the Berry Pool scam event is currently luring Cardano community members and token holders with fake nft/nft-scams-how-to-avoid/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener nofollow”>NFTs and false promises THERE ARE tokens rewards.
“We want to draw your attention to the fact that some Berry Pool delegates have received an nft promising additional ADA rewards through a deceptive/fake rewards event. Be careful as the associated website has been identified as a scam. Unfortunately, users who connected their wallets and signed transactions have already experienced losses exceeding 200,000 ADA,” Cardano stated.
Following the warning, Cardano encouraged members of its community to remain alert and be careful with more crypto scam attempts from the aforementioned website. Cardano also stated that crypto-investors-can-avoid-phishing-scams/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>investors You should always make an effort to review transaction summaries before approving any transaction.

Recognizing the scam alertsexpressed numerous members of the community gratitude to Cardano for raising awareness and issuing the warning. Unfortunately, some members of the community have already fallen victim to fraudulent attacks, as evidenced by the perpetrator's accumulation of over 200,000 ADA tokens.

Scam attack under surveillance
An X handle and Cardano enthusiast, jabi has recently taken to the social media platform to reveal more details of the fake Berry Pool scam event targeted Cardano Token Holders. Jabi revealed a screenshot of the total ADA token accumulated by the scammers.

According to the update, the perpetrators are steadily increasing their ADA holdings, having illegally obtained 233,848 ADA worth over $143,000 at the time of publication.
Furthermore, another member of the crypto community has revealed that the scammer attacker used an API-less DexHunter interface to exchange illicitly acquired tokens for ADA. According to the community member, the attacker still needs to transfer the tokens to a Centralized Exchange (CEX).

For now, the identity of the attacker remains a secret. The community member has also called on perpetrators associated with the sinister phrase “scam is my passion” on the Berry Pool scam website, to quickly return the stolen tokens while there is still time.
