Dear crypto Family, Today we are reviewing an event organized by an amazing couple appearing on the Dubai nft scene.
The VESA team and Vernissage have become fast friends, as the two entities share a similar vision of fine art NFTs and the maturation of the market. Lotta, co-founder of VESA, has also helped Vernissage store her message, part of which is shown here. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch Vernissage grow and this article is our token of gratitude in anticipation of their debut exhibition.
Vernissage was born from the electric crackle between the value of art’s lineage, the molten paint that dripped onto canvases for centuries, and the unsettling engine room of new technologies. Longtime entrepreneurs Richard and Tatiana wanted to see art nurtured and valued in the Internet age, not trampled by the metallic onslaught of ironic pop culture references and diminished prestige. We give up value at our own risk, a manic risk like pouring gasoline on a fragile artifact.
NFTs are the anvil, Vernissage wields the hammer. The underlying technology, the enabler, the potential, like that night when two artists knocked on Richard and Tatiana’s door and handed them a box full of rolled canvases.
Richard and Tatiana Zalan
Although the platform is preparing for its first exhibition, the Vernissage team, Richard and Tatiana Zalan, are no strangers to new technologies. Their interest was already piqued in 2016, when they organized meetings for people interested in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Art, like his passion, was approached through high-effort digital art and fine art, rather than art that focused on public services and marketing.
They saw blockchain technology as a vehicle to safeguard artists’ copyrights and transition to the third Internet era.
True admirers of genuine art, Vernissage’s origin story began to take shape when one night, traveling artists knocked on Richard and Tatiana’s door, carrying a box full of rolled canvases. They were amazed at how these artists were willing to go to great lengths to connect with their potential buyers, and this set in motion the utilization of technology to continue our legacy of fine art at Web3.
There it was, value-laden works of art curated in a fast-paced, agile medium brought to market by experienced decorators, no longer in their twenties. Unusual and peculiar? Yes. Desperately in need? Furthermore, if.
The inauguration had begun to take shape.
V is for Vernissage
Vernissage means an exclusive first viewing of a work of art before its public display. The name fits perfectly with the platform’s mission of specifically supporting emerging artists. It brings to mind something exciting, quite intimate, but also distinguished and full of tradition and value.
Vernissage aspires to achieve something extraordinary. The platform has market and social network functions. The emphasis is on the social aspects of the community and therefore members of the Vernissage community can interact with each other and vote.
Richard and Tatiana want their artists to be financially successful, so fostering relationships between collectors within the community is of utmost importance at Vernissage. Their social awareness runs deep, as Vernissage will allocate resources for the education and personal development of young artists in the future.
They consider that this approach is also represented in the broader context of our society, where we live socially in crucial times. Art can once again play a vital role, especially if new technologies are used in bold and innovative ways. This is why Dubai has served Vernissage well, as the local government passed relevant laws to make the city a leader in the sector.

Dive explosion on November 8.
Soon it will be time. Vernissage is preparing for its maiden voyage exhibition with a new armada of artists who successfully staged and opened for submissions in September. Vernissage has secured a stunning venue for the event; the Kanvas Gallery in an artistically relevant neighborhood near Alserkal Avenue.
Kanvas Gallery lends itself to spectacular immersion, opening up the entire view for artists’ use and pushing the limits of sensory overload. Kanvas wants to explore how human relationships, nature and art interact specifically mediated through technology.
Fittingly, the theme of the evening is the technology and Humanity Canvas.
The experience is on November 8, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, opening night. by invitation only.
November 9 – November 12, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. open to the public.

Don’t miss this night of artists, collectors and community.
Vernissage had carefully drawn a line in the sand, expertly prescribed the burning around his own kind, a place for artists to become the spark again and again.
Successful, financially competent and a worthy opponent.
The VESA team wishes Vernissage a successful exhibition and looks forward to catching up again in Dubai!
