Apple has acknowledged that its new iPhone 15 and 15 Pro can get too hot. The company said the cause was background activity, an iOS 17 bug, and third-party apps, and some apps, like Instagram, have already been updated so as not to make newer iPhones sweat.
Everyone loves to have opinions about why the newer iPhones don’t work as they should, and some people blame the new titanium body. Apple said MacRumors That design actually provides better heat dissipation than previous stainless steel models. Likewise, the company says the problem is not related to its new A1 Pro, nor to the high-power chargers or the new USB-C connector.
My iPhone 15 Pro got pretty hot the first few days, killing all my apps, games, and music library, but it’s stabilized more recently. Others are still waiting for a solution.

Humane is a startup founded by former Apple executives. It is running on a device called ai-pin” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank” data-ylk=”slk:ai Pin;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0″ class=”link “>ai Pin, which uses projectors, cameras, and ai technology as a sort of wearable ai assistant. The company sleepless the ai Pin at a Paris fashion show (Humane x Coperni), attached to Naomi Campbell, who is the first person outside the company to wear the device in public. The company describes the device as a “standalone, screenless device and software platform built from the ground up for ai.” Other information is less clear, such as how the device connects to the Internet, since it is not paired with a smartphone. We’ll know more when it’s fully revealed on November 9.

An ad reportedly used a deepfake of Tom Hanks to promote dental plans without the actor’s permission. Hanks shared a warning on Instagram on Sunday about the ai-generated video, writing that he had “nothing to do with it.” Hanks has been outspoken about the challenges that ai poses to the industry, and the use of digital images of actors is one of the main points of concern expressed by striking SAG-AFTRA workers. Using ai to capitalize on celebrity legacies has already become an ethical issue. Roadrunner: a film about Anthony Bourdain sparked widespread debate after it was revealed that the documentary contained ai-generated voiceovers of Bourdain.
