For many years I have recommended using Anchor.fm to create a podcast. I used it myself in 2019 when I did a 40 episode series called the Practical Ed Tech Podcast (coming up with clever names is not one of my talents).
Spotify acquired Anchor a few years ago and nothing changed in how the service works. What has changed recently is the removal of the Anchor name. Anchor is now called Spotify for podcasters.
Spotify for podcasters makes it incredibly easy to record, edit, and publish a podcast. You can do all your recording and editing within the Spotify for Podcasters website. A library of music clips and sounds is provided for you to use as bumper music.
The best part is that Spotify for Podcasters takes care of all the steps required to get your podcast published on all the major podcast networks, including Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts.
