web3 project, Misterhas been associated with the development studio, rotating games, to create a sci-fi game based on their popular Creepz Lizard NFT. This announcement was made on March 24, much to the delight of fans of the NFT project.
According to Overlord co-founder Don Smith, the as-yet-unnamed game will take place across multiple planets and universes. Both the project and the game developer are dedicated to delivering a title that can be accessed across the chains from the start.
With that being said, players can expect to be immersed in various alien civilizations, each with their own history. Smith points out that “Each species has its own motivations and abilities, and due to their unique abundance of resources and technological advances, they have different styles of conquering their enemies.”

Overlord aims to achieve mass adoption with its new game
Blockchain gaming continues to build an infrastructure that simplifies the many elements of the technology for developers to deliver seamless gaming experiences. It’s something Overlord is very aware of when they start their own game. So, as Smith points out, the company’s Web3 gaming strategy aims to deliver great gameplay first before shifting the focus to the in-game economy. In this way, they hope to achieve widespread adoption.
Speaking to the press, Smith adds that “The blockchain has to be invisible. Players should get all the brilliant benefits of asset ownership and on-chain mechanics without necessarily being aware that it’s happening on-chain.”
The news comes a month after Overlord revealed that it was working with Seth Green-owned Stoopid Buddy Studios to develop an animated series based on his lizard NFTs. Green, a renowned actor and director, is a huge fan of Overlord and has some of his collectibles.
