It’s March 10, which, thanks to the internet and a bit of brand marketing, is Mario Day, aka a low-key celebration of all things involving Nintendo’s beloved plumber. More importantly, it means there are plenty of discounts and promotions to take advantage of, including valuable deals on Nintendo games that are otherwise selling at full price.
Retailers like it Best Buy, walmart, Amazonand Aim are discounting a batch of Nintendo’s first-party physical and digital titles and various accessories, offering around $20 off many games that typically cost $60. Admittedly, celebrating our little Italian friend feels like an effort to keep generating enthusiasm for him Super Mario Bros. Movie, which will hit theaters in just under a month. Even so, there’s rarely a more opportune time than now to come to terms on all things Mario.
How about a chance for others in Mario’s orbit to share the spotlight?
Update March 10, 11:33 am ET: This roundup has been updated to reflect a selection of new deals and the fact that it’s now Mario Day (aren’t we blessed?).
