As mentioned in the previous Post finished, Altair is scheduled to become operational in epoch 74240, on October 27, 2021 at 10:56:23 AM. m. UTC. Watch the Altair Mainnet Announcement for details on who, how and why.
Suffice it to say here that the update is in about a week, so the time to update your node is now. If you run a validator on the beacon chain, should Please upgrade before Altair’s upgrade window or you will experience downtime penalties.
Note: 4 out of 5 mainnet clients (Nimbus, Teku, Lighthouse and Prysm) have released minor versions since the original Altair announcement (updated list here). Because these new versions contain a combination of security patches and optimizations, highly We recommend running the latest version of the client, even if it has already been updated for Altair.
