It is difficult to find a company that has had a better 2024 than NVIDIA. Even after some turmoil in recent weeks, the chip giant's share price ended last year up 178 percentand its market capitalization of more than $3.3 trillion (with a T) currently ranks second only to Apple. This is due to the fact that the current ai revolution is largely driven by NVIDIA processors, which are raking in billions on their hardware even as their customers remain firmly in the red.
So what is founder and CEO Jensen Huang doing for repeat? It's a big question, but we won't have to wait long for an answer. Huang opens CES 2025 in Las Vegas with first keynote speech. He'll take the stage at Mandalay Bay on Monday, January 8 at 9:30 pm ET, and you can watch his live comments right here.
What to expect at the NVIDIA press conference at CES 2025
In addition to many partnerships and services focused on artificial intelligence, NVIDIA had a series of friendly announcements for PC gamers at its CES 2024 press conference, with new RTX 40 Super GPU cards and updates to its GeForce Now game streaming platform .
By 2025, look for the inevitable sequels, with rumors suggesting a lightning-fast RTX 5090 to boot. Of course, Wall Street will focus more on the details Huang will no doubt share about the state of NVIDIA's ai hardware. We're likely to hear more news about the company's Blackwell ai chips, which should begin shipping in higher volumes this year after first entering the market in late 2024.
