Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks closed higher on Wednesday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the end of the session in Saudi Arabia, the interest rate rose 0.34%.
The best performers of the session were Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.54% or 1.74 points to close at 19.98. Meanwhile, National Insurance Company (TADAWUL:) gained 6.04%, or 1.48 points, to close at 26.00, and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (TADAWUL:), which rose 5.65%, or 0.76 points, to close the session at 14.22.
The worst results of the session were Nayifat Finance Co (TADAWUL:), which fell 3.75% or 0.58 points to close at 14.88. Riyadh REIT (TADAWUL:) fell 2.79%, 0.19 points, to close at 6.61, and AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (TADAWUL:), which fell 2.31%, 0.90 points, to say goodbye in 38.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Stock Exchange by 176 to 116 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery fell 0.19% or 0.14 to $71.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Brent oil futures for delivery in March rose 1.16% or 0.85 to hit $74.42 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in February fell 0. 00%, 0.05, to $2,639.30 per troy ounce.
EUR/SAR fell 0.16% to 3.91, while USD/SAR was unchanged 0.04% to 3.76.
US dollar index futures rose 0.32% to 108.28.
